Why Choose Free Range Beef?
![]() |
Texas Longhorn Beef has that great beefy flavor we all enjoy without all the saturated fat! Cattle are not confined to commercial feed lots to be fattened up, they are simply free to graze in open pastures for approximately 20-24 months, feeding on live grasses. our procedure does not include antibiotics in feed or hormonal implants which detract from the overall wholesomeness and may adversely affect your health. It is as natural as it was in the 1800s. |

**When I buy meat in bulk, how much eating meat will I get? There is no exact answer to this question. The average hanging weight for our steers is approximately 350 lbs per half. Hanging weight is the weight of the "dressed" carcass after removal of the hide and inedible parts. This is prior to deboning and trimming of excess fat. Individual customer requests will determine the final take-home weight. The average take-home weight is between 250-270 lbs. per half.
